this was a weird one in my opinion, i dont reckon its supposed to be wild or anything, but mine definitely had a bit of funk to it, bretty in nose and taste, not super out there, but the farmhouse element is real. i dont know anything about these guys, but it looks like they do a few sour or wild types, so this could have a bit of an infection to it, but maybe its intentional too, the label on the bottle says nothing about that. even if it is a mess up in that way, the beer tastes very good, the light funkiness drying this out beautifully and giving it a nice wrinkle in the flavor. the hops are juicy and fresh and fruity to me, tangerine and cantaloupe and pineapple, some bitterness but quite mild, and a simple mostly dry cereal grain base with a little body. the brett thing is really what actually makes this unique to me. some light belgian type esters in here which seem weird in the style, but are appealing in the flavor. good carbonation too, this one really is very active on the palate down to the last drop. a curious beer, did anyone else have this sort of experience with it?

Very nice citrus hop with right amount of bite. Only gripe is head was thin to non-existent but could have been age of keg in the King St. bar I was in. Overall a Top 10 IPA...

Six pack from Greens in Columbia 11.29.17
Absolutely fantastic IPA. Where is the pub on this one? Checks the boxes of the cloudy, hazy, juicy NE style but introduces a funky metallic (?) note that makes taking this one down like inhaling fresh oxygen. Yes sounds strange but works so well.
This may be the best beer I’ve ever had from the state of SC, and that includes Westbrook stuff.

L: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a muddy amber color and a cloudy / murky consistency. There was a small amount of foamy head that quickly dissipated. Pretty good lacing.
S: A solid aroma of hops, pine, tropical fruit, citrus, and malt.
T: Tasted of a moderate amount of citrus (orange, in particular), a slight herbal quality, some light malt notes, a grassy quality, tropical fruit (passion fruit, perhaps?), and a good shot of hops. An interesting flavor that's kind of all over the map. It's fruity and hoppy, but also has lots of herbal notes. Still manages to work, though.
F: An average amount of carbonation with a smooth, crisp finish. Medium-bodied.
O: On the whole, this is a solidly made IPA. Certainly drinkable.

Served on draft at Craft Conundrum in Charleston SC.
I was so surprised by this one. Absolutely wonderful. Arrives in the oversized snifter a picture perfect, slightly hazy orange grapefruit color.
This could be a NE IPA with all the juiciness. Aroma is full on hop glory. Tropical, citrus, pine, rose hips. No earthy English hops here. Suits me well. Bright and airy aroma.
Flavor is god damn beautiful. If possible, there is a perfect balance of pine, fruit, floral, citrus, and juniper. Not sure how they did it, but it is nearly perfect.
There are many superlatives to describe this one. I was close to giving some fives, but stopped just short on the perfect score. A phenomenal beer! Not sure why this one is getting overlooked. Very similar to Jai Alai except better. Yeah, I said it.

On tap at the Pour Taproom (Greenville, SC).
Pours with a hazy amber body and a generous white head that has very good retention and lacing.
Aroma: mildly pungent and rather hoppy with fruit, herbal and pine notes. Citrus and other fruits are dominant.
Flavor: hops dominated with faint bready malts. Moderate bitterness for style.
Mouthfeel: near medium body with soft, medium carbonation.
Overall: A mainstream, well crafted American IPA.
