Ebony with a 1/4" tan head, which fades to a wisp. Light lacing.
Aroma is roasty, coffee, chocolate, slight metallic.
Taste is coffee, dark cocoa, roast malt, a slight sweetness.
Full body, light carbonation. Dry, astringent finish.
A very good Imperial Stout.

Canned 2020/11/05, picked up in South Carolina
Pours a decent fizzy foamy dark brown 1/2 finger head with med to lower retention, bit of lacing, nice legs, pitch black color
Nose has loads of chocolate and sweet candy, sweet milk chocolate and fudge, a bit of roast, dark coffee, plenty of vanilla, rich sweet vanilla, a bit of spicy hop, marshmallow, chocolate nougat
Taste brings a bit of roast, dark coffee, loads of chocolate again and sweet candy, chocolate nougat candy bar, fudgey, burnt sugar and roasted coffee, sugar in the raw, burnt flavors and a touch smokey, into spicy hops, med bitterness, quite spicy with some hot tingly almost fusel alcohol, raw vanilla, mild sticky finish, more smokey roast and spicy hops
Mouth is full bod, rich, a bit chewy like, hot perfumey tingly alcohol, light carb
Overall meh, not terrible but not great, too sweet, too roasty smokey, bitter, too hot and boozy, but in the end not that bad

12 oz can with a 19 December 2019 canning date stamp on the bottom.
Pours with an essentially black and opaque body with a thin head. Smooth and lightly sweet with exceptionally well hidden ABV.
No serious defects but relatively bland and mild for the style.

L: Poured from a growler to a pint glass. Had a deep, dark brown / black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a thin, tan-colored, foamy head that quickly dissipated. Below average lacing.
S: A pretty good aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, cream, and coffee.
T: Tasted of a hint of cream (kind of sweet - lingers around the edges), a good amount of baker's chocolate (bittersweet, but still pretty nice), a decent amount of roasted malt (present throughout; a steady force in the flavor), light hops (mostly in the finish), and a tinge of coffee as well. A solid, somewhat low key flavor. Tasty stuff.
F: A below average amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: In general, a well done stout. Worth a look.

COD 11/15/19 Black pour with a head volume and retention typical of imperial stouts (10% ABV). Lacing was non-existent.
The nose is a bit weak but does have a nice mild moderate roast aroma coupled with a hint of bakers chocolate. Underneath is a very subtle hint of cherry.
Medium mouthfeel with a nice touch of creaminess. Carbonation / body balance is outstanding with well balanced effervescence mid-palate and in the finish.
The flavor profile is outstanding and far superior to the nose. Light roast leads then flows into a powerful bready malt sweetness in the middle that opens up the chocolate notes, both bakers bitter and sweet milk. As the chocolate fades, the sweetness suggests lactose. Consequently, this is best described as a milk stout. Bitterness is mild with the emphasis being on hops rather than the rough bitterness of roast. A hint of cherry presents in the middle but you have to look for it.

Pours black with a half inch beige head that was well retained and left spotty lacing. Smells of chocolate and roasted malts. Tastes of semisweet chocolate, strawberries, roasted malts, vanilla, cocoa, lactose sweetness and cream. Medium bodied, light carbonation and a creamy mouth feel.
