Draught at the brewpub. Copper-red without much of a head. Toasted bread and caramel aroma. Bread-crust and caramel flavor with some hop spice and modest bitterness. Medium bodied and pretty smooth on the tongue. Pretty standard oktoberfest, without the over-hopping and cloying caramel that a lot of US versions seem to have.

I went down to the Brewhouse for their annual Oktoberfest celebration and had a big ol' stein of their Oktoberfest brew! Delicious! Nice orangy gold body and firm but bubbly offwhite head. Nice lacing. Pleasant malty smell, though not it's strongest point. Great malty taste while enough hops to keep it honest. It doesn't kill the tongue with too much sweetness or over-powering bitterness. Good solid mouthfeel, but again without overkill. All of this makes for a near perfect drinkability.
Having never tried it before, I'm glad I liked it considering I had three pints worth sitting in my stein.
