Sampled 10/16/2010 at the brewpub.
Pours dark red, hazy, off-white head, low lacing and low retention.
Aroma caramel, bread, booze (lots), and bubble gum.
Flavor is boozy, bubble gum, caramel, residual sugar, and cereal. If it weren't for the Bazooka Joe qualities I would have guessed that this was a Strong Ale or some such American generic category for boozy beers. The bartender confirmed that this is a dubbel.
Body is medium/heavy, a bit too much. Don't care to have this one again.
