Definitely unique and different from anything else I’ve had. This is a sour fruited stout. It is a pitch black, creamy, thick stout of a beer but the smell does not reflect. Smells of tart fruit, sweet blueberries and bitter hop are on the forefront. First taste says this is a sour beer that’s brewed to be a stout. Mouthfeel is thick just as you would expect from a beer this shade, but the flavor is crisp light sour blueberries and lemon rind dancing with sweet berry juice. I liked it a lot as a novelty, but generally not something I would drink everyday.
