Poured into a La Fin du Monde tulip
o- pours a deep caramel color with a 1-2 frothy khaki head; thin and virtually flavorless at first (high carb detracts from the profile); as it opens, very subtle combination of piney resin and sweet honey; what little that's there is good, but definitely underwhelming imo; being a red ale fan, I had much higher hopes for this one..

Look: Dark ruby-red, almost mahogany in the glass with a lively beige head that builds and settles to a lid, leaving great lacing behind
Aroma: Pithy grapefruit, honey, raspberries, navel oranges, freshly baked bread, and tangerines
Taste: Kicks off like the nose started – pure citrus – but is quickly bombarded with hits of honey and berries that go back and forth in dominance. The honey holds center stage in the middle before citrus returns on the close
Mouthfeel: Full, clean, medium-high carbonation, and a soft and smooth finish
Overall: This is good stuff. Definitely an interesting beer that utilizes fresh hops and honey but it works well and I love a good red ale already, so I’m easy to please here. I’d love to know the nectar source for the honey too as it’s quite unique and some Strata still cuts through the honey and malt, which is impressive. My first beer from these folks and a tasty and good first impression
