Clear golden color. Head not much consistent that fades soon. Aroma is florarl, herbs, some fruit and a hint of spices. In mouth, I fell first the hops, then it turns to some sweetness and some bitter in the end. Dry and fruity. It's a very drinkable and refreshing beer, specially in summer.

Comes in a German standard brown half liter bottle with a gold and white label featuring little more than "Eder's" in big bold letters and "Export mildwürzig" (mildly spiced) below in smaller print. Purity law applies. Best before 9/4/04, I didn't get around to it until 9/11/04. I was surprised to find this in one of my regular Moscow supermarkets. I hope they decide to carry it for a while.
Pours an utterly standard clear gold under a one finger white head that is slow to settle and leaves a touch of lace. The nose is very good - strong barley tones dominate, signalling a high malt content. The mouth is very prickly and slightly thick. Lots of barley in the opening, almost like taking a bite of bread. The malt dominates throughout, but there's a bit of hops to keep the brew honest. The finish and aftertaste are all grain, though. A malt monster's dream.
