Craft Beer Store in Ecuador? Go figure. This is the country's first craft beer shop. The store wasn't open yet, but their signage was too interesting to ignore. A big "COFFEE SUCKS. DRINK BEER" caught my attention. Peaked inside, and the owners encouraged us to come inside. Half done space, they were working on the lights when I walked in, and only had 1 fridge, but it was full of some tasty options. I counted at least 20 different varieties, which surprised me for such a small country. The owner told me that this was only 20% of what they expect to stock. So, I can't wait till the rest arrive. Some bar tables, nothing fancy. These guys are heavy into the beer culture of Ecuador, knew almost every brewers story, and offered some insight to some cool brew pubs in town to check out - some were known, and some were not. So that was some great info.

I can definitely see this place blowing up and being packed day in and day out. It was busy when I walked in, and they weren't even open, or even finished with the construction! I can't wait till they officially open up. I had a Raspberry Ale and and IPA from Saint Roots Brewing, which I enjoyed. Will definitely be back to see what else is in store. Owners are a couple of American Ecuadorians, who spent most of their lives in NY & NJ. They themselves have their own interesting stories, which I will leave that for another day. They mentioned they will also offer craft liquors (flavored vodkas, gins, whiskey), so thats something I am looking forward to try.
