my first beer from these guys, really tasty and well executed rice lager, clean and crushable and not lacking personality, soft and floral, light but not watery, quite well lagered and professionally refined overall, i am excited about the proliferation of this style, so many of these out there all of a sudden, the more the merrier! blonde and clear, nice and fizzy with an average white head on top slowly fading. cut flowers in the nose, very alive and full of springtime vibes, half expecting a bee to come pollinate it, some light starchiness and crackery character to the grain, sort of pils adjacent, with hops that do little more than balance this, maybe a little crisping bitterness is all, the whole thing is easy and breezy, tidy, and very approachable. the flavor is similar, i guess some citrus from the hops is there, making this kind of immediately thirst quenching. the malt is very fresh, the rice aspect is minimal in terms of flavor, but it works more to lighten the body here it seems, this is a total ripper without being watery or anything. jasmine and biscuit, elegant, still agricultural on the malt side, beautiful water chemistry, faint sweetness until the end, snappy lager yeast and then gone on the swallow in a rush of little bubbles, very thirst quenching and pretty, could drink this all day long. never really heard of this place until recently, sounds like they are making waves already. i will have to get myself back to bend and check them out before too long! this is an excellent take on a recent favorite style of mine, well done.
