this is fabulous, really special stuff here. a gabf silver medal this year for gose, id love to see what beat it out, seems hard to even imagine, this is so good. peach, chamomile, and cardamom in here, a clean and well salted sour with the peach leading, the grain still appreciable, and the overall interest, balance, and quality mighty high, a lovely take on the style, tastefully and expertly done. light orange colored with mild haze, an airy half inch of white head, lots of carbonation activity, i like a lot of life in a style like this, and this brings it. the aroma is super unique, i love the combination of ingredients in this, the peach is real and ripe and very forward without being too sugary, and i can still taste nice wheat malt underneath here, but the wrinkles of herbal floral chamomile and aromatic exotic cardamom make it really different, hard ingredients to dose well, but they have it nailed here. clean lemony sourness highlights the fruit, seems to pull a little balancing botanical bitterness from the chamomile, and its not so sour as to limit it in any way, really intoxicating, trace vanilla or something to me, ripe apricot, champagne. the flavor is amazing, the balance between the elements is pro, love the cardamom, adds such an interesting dimension here and its so compatible with both the peach and surprisingly also the acidity this has. lemony and orangey too along with the obvious and very natural peach, which is the first and last thing i taste here. chamomile more of an accent but its fantastic, and again, love that the wheat malt is still part of the flavor mix, so many flavored sours run away with flavoring and leave the base beer behind, but not this. juicy sweet peach, piquant clean lactic tartness, soft wheaty mouthfeel with a lot of life, notes of white wine, white tea, and papaya or something at the end, bright and quenching, very original and truly delicious. deserving of its accolades, need to get myself to bend and check this place out!
