Poured from 12oz can into a dimpled mug.

Appearance: rich dark brown hue with plenty of haze to the body and a finger of frothy tan foam atop.

Smell: sweet and caramelly malt with a nice roastiness and a lovely hint of chocolate. There's a fair dose of yeastiness in there, too. Quite good.

Taste: a bit on the sweet side with some balancing roastiness. There's maybe a hint of vegetal character to the hops. Not bad, although I think the aroma had more finesse.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a moderate carbonation and a smooth creaminess.

Overall: a pretty decent oatmeal stout overall. Not the most groundbreaking, but it gets the job done.

This is a big cedar and toasted barley brew that’s really great. It is a full bodied beer that is sweeter than some more like a Sunriver coco cow stout and makes a Guinness brew seem watery in comparison. If you are in the Bend Old Mill District check them out.
