A beautiful Breakfast Stout that was conditioned on a fresh roasted bed of coffee beans from our friends at Little Amps Coffee Roasters, as well as a heap of cocoa nibs & finished off with a touch of vanilla.

ok, this is a pretty good brew but missing a bit of an edge.
L: drinking from the can. it's a nice looking can...
S: smell is nice. i get the roasted coffee and chocolate notes.
T: ok, it tastes good. very smooth. coffee, chocolate. bit of sweetness with a slightly bitter aftertaste. it just seems to miss a little something. a bit of a hop bite would be welcome. it's good but not great.
F; mouthfeel is nice. smooth, even thick, with a bit of carbonation.
O: it's good, maybe very good. but there is serious competition in this category and it does not make the top tier.

16 oz can from Tavour. Drak, muddy brown pour, small ring of head. Aroma is chocolate and coffee with a hint of vanilla. Taste adds sweetness to blend, making for a nice delicious brew.

Sampling a cellar temp 16 oz can poured into my snifter. The beer Pours a cola brown color with a little bit of cloudiness to it. A fluffy beige head of 3 cm foams up but fades to a sturdy edge layer after several seconds in my glass. Sparse lacing on the glass when I sip from it.
The aroma is malty up front with roasted notes and dark chocolate mixing together. I also get some coffee rounds and vanilla note, sort of cafe con leche aroma. No hint of the ABV from the nose and the hops are well hidden too. Seems about right on the nose from the description on the can.
First sip reveals a medium bodied beer with fine, gentle carbonation and a silky smooth texture. Very easy drinking for a bigger stout.
Flavor is malt driven too. Roast malts, coffee and dark chocolate again with hints of vanilla and brown sugar sweetness. But this is not a cloying beer and with no hop presence and hidden booze, its also very approachable and enjoyable.

Glad I got a chance to try this one, Ive liked a lot of brews from Evergrain and would buy this one again too.

A - Dark brown pour that looks borderline black. Thick caramel colored creamy lacing that sticks to the sides of the glass like glue, nice and viscous.

S - The nose is dominated with nice roasted cocoa, toasted chocolate malt, and a little bit of vanilla.

T - Toasted cocoa, roasty chocolate, and a small shot of vanilla, and ends with a lingering chocolate roast. The roastiness at times comes across as "coffee-like".

M - Thick and velvety but a little thin around the outer edge.

O - Very roasty and flavorful.
