I apologize for adding a beer without an acCANponying pic, but this one is currently on offer at the Friendly Greek Bottle Shop (FGBS) & the buzz on sister (?) site Untappd is phenomenal! Teddy, the FGBS owner, said that it is flying & that I was lucky to score during my ~ weekly re-up.

From the CAN: "Name/ABV/5-15-2020".

I CAN't find it on the brewery's website, so I charged ahead, adding it as I understood it. No pic because a Crowler label? Come on! I have standards.

I took it to the sink for the Crack!, revealing Teddy's generosity. He had done what I always did as a barback/beersistant at Columbia Kettle Works (2nd Gear) - fill it to the brim, emplace the lid, run the seamer, wipe off the excess et Voila! It is really the only way to ensure a lack of oxygenated head space, unless you have a CO2 purge, plus it makes the CANstomer feel like they got something extra. Of course, this leads to a spritz across the fingertips as the tongue has nowhere to go, but c'est la guerre. It also left me incredibly CANxious about dribbling, at the very least. I beCAN a slow, gentle C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass, but the dribble didn't make much of a nibble, fo' sho, ma nizzle! I got two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, tawny head for my efforts & I was even happier with its retention while I returned to the keyboard. Color was a cloudy, turbid Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7). 8=O Nose was bigly with notes of tropical fruit & caramel malt. My default might have been a liquefied pineapple upside-down cake, but that would be too simplistic for this beer. It had layers of nuanced tropical fruits, pineapple simply shoving its way to the head of the pecking order. Why take shortCANts? Mouthfeel was medium with a slight graininess, as though it might have been saturated (& then some) during dry-hopping. Hmm. The taste was a rockin' riot of tropical fruit with all of the usual suspects of mango, papaya, guava, passion fruit showing up with pineapple as their CANlective date & him blowing a spliff in a stand of pine trees, to boot. 8=O Mmm. I liked it, but not as much as I liked CANother, earlier one, also in the style. I'd be down to have this in a regular CAN or even as a draft offering at the bar or any bar. YMMV.
