A robust Dark Lager brewed with a plethora of specialty and dark malts and lagered to perfection. Deep flavors of roasted malt, semi sweet cocoa, pumpernickel bread, and mild anise.

16oz tallboy can purchased at the Rocket Market, high atop Spokane's South Hill, for $5.90 before taxes. First time I'd seen something from Ever Grain, a brewery I'd previously not heard of.
Poured into a 16oz snifter, this was a very dark brown that quickly came to resemble midnight, which was roughly when it was being consumed. There was a moderate sized khaki colored head, but it receded after a few minutes, leaving only a thin ring as a sign it had existed.
Nose was of roasted malts, reminding me of molasses and dark fruits, maybe just a touch of chocolate.
Fruitier in the taste than in the nose. In a good way. The fruitiness and sweetness noted above blend well together, along with some roasty notes and a deep boozy note that is way, way, in the background.
Medium bodied, with a nice, clean lager finish.
This is a nice, big, non-BA Baltic Porter, and, while one is enough right now, I could definitely dig drinking this again sometime in the future.

Sampling a lightly chilled 16 oz can poured into my .5L dimple mug. Picked up at a beer shop during a visit to PA in August.
The can and label have no date stamp information.
The beer pours a cola brown color with a sort of frothy beige head of 1.5 cm foaming up on the pour. This foam fades quickly to an edge layer that sticks around through the sampling. Leads to very scattered lattice when I swirl or take a sip from the glass.
The aroma on the beer is malt forward with molasses and some dark fruit mixing with roasted malt. Not really any hop profile and the ABV is hidden on the nose.
First sip reveals a medium body and smooth texture with very fine and gentle carbonation. Beer drinks pretty easy for a larger ABV.
Flavor is about what I expect and what the nose advertises to me. I get some roasted malt with hints of dark fruit sweetness and a little bit of molasses and brown sugar too. No hop profile here and its not showing its ABV at all either.
this proves to be an enjoyable and easy drinking baltic porter. Glad to have tried this one.

Almost black with dark brown edges. Big roasty malt aroma and flavor. Good balance but a bit sweet. Medium bodied but leans light for 9%.

Poured into a wide mouth grip shaped goblet: color is dark brown to near black, head is very light tan with fine bubbles, no lacing.
Smell is roast, light coffee, sweet and dark chocolate, raisin.
Taste is roast, sweet and dark chocolate, raisin and dark fruit sweetness, some espresso, really sweet for a BP.
Mouthfeel is low carbonation, moderate/strong sweetness, not too bitter.
Overall a strong sweet dark beer - not quite in the traditional baltic porter sense, a little too sweet and chocolatey for me, but still a good big dark beer.

2/9/2024, on tap at the brewery.
Beautiful tan head, tight bubbles, just a thin layer coating the top. Black as midnight.
Aroma is fantastic! Roasty, coffee, stoney notes fill the nose.
Sweeter than expected, but such an amazing offering! Soft mouthfeel. Taste is roasted coffee, sweet milk chocolate, rye bread, and a saline finish.

Undated can into pint glass. Pours a silky dark brown/black with an enthusiastic tan head. No lacing, though. Initial impression is milk chocolate, roasted malts, and a slight breadiness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, smooth, and slightly sticky. Finish fades to cocoa and roasted malts. Overall, a very well-crafted Baltic Porter.
