Poured into standard shaker: color is very dark brown to near black, head is light brown with fine bubbles, head presents one finger deep and dissipates to thin top with lacing on the glass sides.
Smell is light roast, toast, toffee, biscuit.
Taste is similar with roast, toast, toffee, biscuit, smooth finish with a cream like texture.
Mouthfeel is low/moderate carbonation, low/moderate sweetness, low bitterness.
Overall a pleasant malty and smooth dark lager from Evergrain.

Slight fizzy medium khaki colored froth with no retention... Color is a deep dark brown that allows some light to leak i. Around the edges... Subdued nose of roasted malt and bread crust... well rounded on the palate with notes of toffee, roasted malt and biscuits... Feel is sleek and medium bodied with some prickly carbonation... solid and enjoyable offering for an extremely underrepresented style... Overall a bit more than the sum of its parts...
