A fresh and vibrant IPA brewed with loads of HBC 586 hops and a few other supporting cast members for massive mango character. Mango sorbet, mango gummies, mango juice, mango sativa and mango clouds. Did we mention it's mango-y?

DATE: June 7, 2025... OCCASION: Saturday night IPA drinking leads me to the last of an Ever Grain four pack... GLASSWARE: Duvel snifter... opaque orange-yellow body with a staunch, thick, two-fingered white head heavily pillowed... coral lacing encircles the glass... mango, yes, as promised, with sugar, passion fruit, pineapple, mint (?), and some herbal hints... not a hop bomb or a tropical island, but it has a gentle allure... medium-bodied, strong and balanced... the teeth feel a hint of hops, the mouth appreciates a solid sitting, and the throat holds the finish for a flourish that coats a bit... respectfully sized for its 7.2% ABV... the mango, as others have noted, is not a big or bold experience--it still presents, but it isn't as overwhelming as the label promises... the citrus overall is appreciable, with hints of resin as well... the fruity profile is winning...

Wild Rabbit from Ever Grain. Purchased at Franklin Beer (Franklin, PA) 11/03/25. 16 fl oz can, $ 3.50 (Including tax)/ $ 0.219 fl oz. Reviewed 28/03/25 (Review 3485). Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Undated can. Stored in reefer at distributor and at 39 degrees F at home: served at 44.2 degrees F in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. The final temperature is 55.7 degrees F.
Appearance – 4.25
First pour – Straw (SRM 3), hazy.
Body – Gold (SRM 5), opaque. Under direct light, same, but a moderate amount of precipitate is visible through the glass. When rear-lite, barely translucent and sunny.
Head – Large (Maximum 4.5 cm, aggressive center pour), ivory, high density, good retention. Drops to a 0.3 – 0.7 cm crown and a heaped partial cap. A moderate amount of lacing hangs behind as the head retracts.
Lacing – Good! In addition to that left behind when the initial head retracts, as the beer level drops, rings of tiny to near-microscopic bubbles remain, the spaces between occupied by fine lacing.
Aroma – 3.75 – Faint mango. No yeast, no malt, no alcohol.
Flavor – 3.5 – Begins mildly sweet, with a bit of malt and NO MANGO. No yeast, no hops. No alcohol (7.2 % ABV, according to the label). A bit malty in the background. No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl. Slight gastric warming. Ends slightly sweet.
Palate – 4 – Medium: slightly creamy: lively carbonation.
Style: Follows the style guidelines as condensed by BA.
Final impression and summation: 3.75 (After deducting 0.25 point for an undated personal container) Nice label, should have given the artist credit. Weak mango on the nose, no mango on the flavor. Considering this is essentially fermented mangoes, how old is the this can? Low price point, but still too high for the lack of (mango) flavor.

Undated (WTF) can into pint glass. Pours a murky dark straw color with a fluffy off-white head. Great lacing! Initial impression is mango and pineapple. Mouthfeel is soft, smooth, and fluffy. Finish fades to a slight mango sweetness. Overall, another excellent NEIPA from Ever Grain.
