This was one of the beers that I ordered on Tavour at the tail end of last year as it sounded interesting enough for me to give a go. Can't say that I've ever had a Fruited Kettle Sour like this as it was quite fruity, sweet, and lacking in overt yeast and sourness.
Lots going on here, starting with the pour as this looked like pure blueberry juice that was completely cloudy and topped off with a light violet head that was thick and full of a big web of massive bubbles that seemed to be solid. Those never fully settled down they stuck around as a thick sheen once I started to sip this. Besides blueberry, marshmallow, and a bit of banana in the nose as the taste had hints of strawberry and blackberry juice, mango, sorbet, and coconut slickness in it. A bit of dippin' dots ice cream and sediment was interspersed in the liquid but the latter had to be because of this beer's age more than anything else.
Indeed, no date was to be found anywhere on here as this was a bit aged, but still enjoyable and pulpy down to the last sip. Nearly no hint of the alcohol could be felt as I would have easily cracked another one of these after finishing this off, had there been another can here. We've had some lovely spring days here in recent weeks and this would be the perfect accompaniment to those! Grab a can and thank Ever Grain for this wondrous brew later...
