Sorbetto No. 67 – from Ever Grain Brewing. A 16 fl oz can was purchased from Franklin Beer, Franklin, PA on 08/12/23 for $ 5.50 (Including tax), $ 0.344/fl oz. Reviewed 28/12/23 (Review 3205). Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Undated can. Stored at 34 degrees at home. Served at 46.5 degrees F in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. The final temperature was 59.1 degrees F.
Appearance – 3
First pour – Pinkish-orange and hazy, becomes opaque with suspended particles as the pour finishes.
Body – Dirty tangerine orange with all sizes of lumpy precipitate and suspension. Opaque.
Head: Average (Maximum 2.3 cm, aggressive center pour), tangerine orange, high density with a rocky top, average retention, dropping to a 0.1 – 0.5 cm undulating crown, and a thin cap consisting of flotsam orbiting around a large central island. The inside of the glass above the crown is coated with pinkish lumps of “stuff”.
Lacing – No real lacing, just flotsam sticking to the inside of the glass.
Aroma – 4 – Very fruity and slightly sweet. Distinct peach, mango, and coconut. No malt, no hops, no yeast, no alcohol (NO ABV marked on the label or on the website).
Flavor – 4 – Sweet and fruity. No beer flavors. No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl. No gastric warming.
Palate – 4 – Full; creamy; soft but lively carbonation.
Final impression and summation: 3 (After deducting 0.25 point for an undated personal container) Just plain ugly. Should be served with an umbrella. Not a beer at all, just a tasty low alcohol aromatic fruit drink.
