A robust English style brown ale created with 100% English malts and hops. Boasting notes of caramel toffee, chocolate dusted dates, and pumpernickel bread. With a light tan head and thick lacing, this is a perfect beer to keep you toasty for the colder months.

On nitro at Bull's Head Public House in Lititz PA.
Pours a dark mahogany with tan foam, great head retention and a beautiful nitro pour. Aroma is dark coffee and burnt toast plus rich barley. Flavor is similar, rather dense and heavily burnt. There's some red fruits and a lovely coffee flavor, as well as nutty malts and brown bread. Finish is surprisingly bitter but not too hoppy and a little herbal. There's very little sweetness and it's surprisingly abrasive for the ABV but that keeps it refreshing. Feel is great especially with the nitro. It's higher body but the heavy bitterness makes it quite drinkable.
Overall, an impressive showing for my first Ever Grain beer. Really cool interesting stuff and a great contrast to the very juicy IPA I enjoyed beforehand.

16oz can into a glass. No freshness dating.
Darkest brown body, full loose bubbly tan head, streaks of lacing. Toasted malt aroma.
On tasting, very well balanced between roasted malt and sweetness. Full bodied beer, nicely clean on the finish
Overall, one of the better Ever Grain beers, and other than the high abv, true to style for an English brown.
