Poured into a wide mouth, grip shaped goblet: color is straw gold, slight chill haze, head is brighter white with fine to small bubbles head presents one finger thick then dissipates to frothy top with dense lacing.
Smell is mixed malt and hops and spruce tips - quite pleasant but a little light: clean base malt and light toast/biscuit, some earth, and the finishes with spruce tip.
Taste is similar but more emphatic with blended malt - hops - spruce tips: more forward hop and spruce character with earth, spruce, pine, herbal flavors then biscuit and pale malt.
Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, lower sweetness, moderate bitterness.
Overall a great spruce tip brew that highlights the flavors of the addition well with a very pleasant malt bill and hop/tip flavor and bitterness.
