Pours a dark black no light getting through, small chocolate head falls fast to ring some light lace.
Aroma is good chocolate notes sweet, some bready notes and good blackberry coming through that kind of makes you think of cobbler. Some light spiciness also which is probably from the hops. Ah after reading the can I guess its cinnamon I'm smelling not peppery spice. Seems little odd to add cinnamon to my blackberries.
Taste is well like the nose, the base stout is good, the blackberry kind of gets hidden more in the flavor sadly. You get a hint of blackberry before the spices take over and the cinnamon with vanilla hints dominate. Personally be better with out the spices but that is just my opinion.
Mouthfeel is good a big medium with fairly level carbonation.
Overall just don't see having this one again, was looking forward to a good blackberry stout as their base naval stout is a good beer, sadly the cinnamon kind of ruins the experience for me.
