Canned 10/26/20; drank 1/26/21 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque dark orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a small white head; a thick curtain of lace.
Baking soda, orange soda & table sugar notes in the nose.
Not real appealing. Sticky, medium thick mouthfeel.
Orange soda & dry wheat flavors up front; baking soda & table sugar notes on the finish.
Drinkable in a pinch, but surely not pleasurable. Not one I'll return to.

16oz can, dated 10.15.2020, poured into a stemless wine glass.
The beer pours a very bright orange color, amber hues, thick, hazy and turbid with a foamy white head, about two fingers tall with moderate retention and sticky lacing. The aroma is nice, tropical fruits, orange juice, strong pine, very earthy as it warms, grassy, dank, slightly herbal with boozy heat, sweet yeast and pale dough. The flavors are good, juicy citrus, crisp tropical mango and pineapple, lots of pine and quite grassy, resinous and spicy, very raw and green while a boost of floral brightness helps moderate things. A touch of booze though not as hot as the nose suggested with pale dough, mineral water and sweet yeast finish this beer. The mouthfeel is good, coating and satisfying with a heavier medium body, creamy finish that yields a nice dry bite.
Verdict: A nice NEIPA from Old Irving. It's certainly punching above its weight even at 8% but that tends to be the foil for this style. Skewing towards sweetness can expose every booze related flaw and while this falls victim, it does offer a nice contrast of bright and fruit forward juiciness with earthy and raw green hop.
