Had on tap. Opaque chestnut brown with a tan cap. I want to start with the taste, because WOAH. Maple syrup sweetness is huge a first, earthy mushroom, full big earth and smoke with barley enter in, finish has leather and soggy wood with a hint of toast. Literally unlike anything I have ever had, very memorable and impressive. Smell focused more on the mushroom and barley, earthy with a sweet twinge. Feel is bright and smooth before being darkened and made more rugged with earthiness and a hint of smoke. Got to try this to believe it

Pours a beautiful translucent caramel with a finger of off white foam. Nose is dark fruit, smoky, toasted malt, molasses or maple syrup, and burnt wood. Taste follows suit. Very complex and smoky flavor and I really enjoyed it. Feel is silky smooth, mouth coating but not syrupy. Great beer.
