When Migration hit the shelves, it was an easy must buy. A collab between two local, established imperial stout players in Phase Three and Old Irving. It was everything we expected in a big, rich imperial. The cocoa is bold and decadent, letting you know this the flavor party has started. The coconut is extremely fresh and helps break through the onset richness. I hope these two breweries can get together again, fantastic work.

Crowler filled 3/12/22; drank the same day.
Pitch black appearance.
A rough pour yielded a small dark khaki head; thick lace.
Vanilla, milk chocolate & coconut notes in the nose.
Thick, creamy mouthfeel.
Fresh earth, milk chocolate & faint coconut flavors up front; vanilla notes on the finish.
Your standard American stout packed with sweet stuff; it's pretty good for the style but not one to convert anybody.
