Pours solid black, nice tan head with good lacing. Looks thick in the pour, more like a milk stout. Smell is kind of funky, almost soapy? The taste is pure roasted grains and coffee up front, followed by bitter chocolate on the back. Overall good, but the finishing bitter chocolate is too dry/bitter, like a bakera chocolate, it needs a little to smooth the edge. This could be a stout, really, it's right on the line.

Dark black with nice tan head. Mostly dark fruit on the nose. Taste is chocolate, coffee, and dark fruit. A little roasty. Full bodied.

Canned 1/24/23; drank 3/10/23 @ the Yarchives.
Black/brown appearance.
A rough pour yielded a huge tan head; a thick curtain of lace.
Chocolate, fresh earth & faint strawberry notes in the nose.
Medium thick, creamy mouthfeel.
Cream, chocolate, mild fresh earth & a hint of dark berry.
Very good!

One pint can poured into a Willi Becher glass. Barnyard smell, black coffee taste. Confusingly, this Baltic Porter is a lager. Not sure how that happened.
