Had on cask. Medium brown body, huge khaki head with sudsy lacing. Aromas capture the subtly sweet dark malt with pumpernickel tones to the drier yeast, but with huge airy citrus, wow. Taste adds roasted earth and a hint of wood root to this, again surprisingly fruity, odd. The feel is spot on though, airy, dry, light, smooth and frothy. New world yet more interesting than good

Released 1/11/23; drank 1/14/23 @ the Yarchives.
Semi-opaque brown/orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big tan head; a thick curtain of lace.
Tree bark & salted caramel notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Dry oak, dill & mild caramel flavors.
I've come to really enjoy this style, but this one tasted off to me. Not one I'll return to.
