16 ounce can into a snifter. A 2023 release had 3/15/24.
Pours near black and opaque with a brief head and light cling. Aromas of almond, chocolate, coconut, malt, vanilla, some bourbon. Similar flavors of vanilla, almond, chocolate, coconut, malt, bourbon. A little sweet. Smooth, a solid full body, appropriately carbonated.
This is really good. All the add- ins are there, plentiful and distinct- probably the best showing by almonds that I’ve had. The barrels are lighter than desired, but they are noticeable. Wouldn’t mind them making this one again, next year.

Had on tap. See where the rye brought contrast, this one leans into the decadent dessert realm. Nose is marked by rich chocolate soaked in bourbon, with vanilla, toasty oak, coconut and molasses behind. Taste brings the nuts to the spotlight: almond and coconut are the big crescendo finish to the bourbon barrel and base krampus flavors, over time marzipan emerges on the palate. Feel is rich and decadent, but here the barrel keep it from getting too sweet, stupid how smooth it is, massive beer.
