Pours a beautiful dark chocolate color with chocolate and light coffee notes. A strong roasted malt backbone supports a bold hop profile that is characteristic of CDAs. This is a versatile beer that can be as refreshing as a session IPA while having the flavor complexity of a skillfully brewed porter. I try to fill a growler whenever this beer is available.
