1, 2 and 3 year old lambic with 3 varietals of apricots from the Rhône Valley in France and fresh passion fruit from Sicily. After a few years of smuggling passion fruit in suitcases from places far away, we got in touch with Antonino in Sicily. He's a young farmer who started growing passion fruit a few years ago. Under the southern Italian sun, Antonino grows passion fruit until they're fully ripened on the vines, to reach the best organoleptic quality. Blended with apricots it makes a very refreshing summery blend.

Bottle pour into a taster glass.
Appearance is pale semi-murky yellow with a small collar of head. Nose and palate is apricot, peach, lemon zest. Mouthfeel is moderate and acidic.

Mildly foggy burnt gold with a short but persistent and fizzy off-white head that retains for a good clip in a Cantillion lambic glass before dying to a fine chain.

This exudes all kinds of wildly herbal and lightly woody apricot delicacies that are only faintly accented by the passion fruit. The oak elements are almost cedary, but delicate, and quite drying. It becomes more wild and herbal with time, and only a short amount of time at that, exhaling a faint toasty seed.

As it warms, a distinct note of fresh oregano begins to bloom, and remains the rest of the way through. Maybe this is the Sicilian passion fruit (a varietal I've never had, personally), as I don't really get any other passion fruit notions past the first few sips, sadly.

The medium-light body has a crisp froth that rounds it out just enough before that nearly chewy dry finish.

Enjoyed during the Bokke event at Zout & Citroen.
Lots of fruit in the nose, mainly the apricot with a wiff of the passion fruit as well.
Taste is also mainly apricot with the pasion fruit giving it a little bit more sharp freshness. Really wel balanced and very nice overall flavour.
