A: crystal clear; bronze colored; 1 finger finely pored tan head that receded to a wispy cap with a thick, tight collar; no lacing;
S: butterscotch;
T: sweet malt; a little earthy; a little caramel; a hint of bitterness, but this is a malt forward beer;
M: medium bodied; light to moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;
O; really nicely done;

From the can, it pours a clear mahogany color with a modest off-white head that soon diminishes to a thin ring. Scent is malt with caramel notes. Taste follows nose - well balanced overall!

A: dark mahogany and copper color with a hint of ruby red. Thin, off-white head
S: sweet malt, roasted malt, caramel, brown sugar and some amber grains
T: sweet caramel and some earthy hops - not bitter. A hint of roasted malt and faint chocolate behind that. A hint of grass, and more malts to finish - roasted and sweet
M: lighter side of medium, with mid-low carbonation
O: average Scottish ale. Easy to drink and unassuming. Pretty well balanced, and a good example
