Sampling a cold crowler of this beer, canned on 9/17 and been in my fridge since then.
The beer pours a clear amber to copper color with some reddish garnet highlights. Beer looks really nice in my glass. A dense creamy khaki colored head of 3 cm foams up . This foam fades to a sturdy edge layer and one wispy island a while after the pour.
The aroma is a little caramel, brown sugar and some floral hops, but a little bit of a plasticy scent too. uh oh. Mild, but I definitely smell it each time. Just enough to catch my attention.
The first sip reveals a medium body with fine gentle rolling carbonation. Flavor is some caramel and toasted malt and a bit of brown sugar. I also get some floral hops on the finish. Not really any plastic here, which is a relief.
The beer drinks easy and is tasty, but the nose is a little off and I think if I let this sit any longer it would be a bad thing.
