I had this beer on-tap in a nonic at the brewery.
Appearance: medium golden hue, mostly clear, with a finger of white foam. Not bad.
Smell: nice Belgian-y aroma with plenty of sweetness and a bit of chalky character. A little bit of pear rounds it out nicely.
Taste: sweet and light with a good pear character and a nice overall character. The sweetness is a bit much, however, and it borders on cloying.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a big carbonation and a good creaminess.
Overall: a solid BSPA, if not perfect. A perfectly creditable version coming from a Seattle brewery.
