The Kölsch is a delicate and elegant, crisp and quaffable brew originating in the city of Cologne. A tantalizing touch of sweet apple on the front leads into a light base of German pilsner malt, with Noble Saaz overtones.

Random loose columns of fine carbonation hold up one and a half inches of off-white froth. After five minutes, the froth leaves figural lace on an AO IIPA glass. The beer itself is clear and the color of old gold.
The aroma opens with milled grains and grape skins. Light soapiness and faint floral hints are also present.
Mild flavors are obscured by modestly astringent bitterness. Water crackers and celery lead to a lingering finish. This one improves as it warms and adds sweetness.
Quite full of mineral and metallic notes that work well with the smooth-hard texture. It has a medium to light body and soft carbonation. Alcohol is as expected.
This is a good drinking beer and will pair well with Buffalo Wings. One could easily session this beer after work or while tailgating. I found that it improved, very much to my surprise, with a mild cigar.

Look: It pours clear light golden with a white head. Head retention is low.
Smell: It has bready and cracker aromas with some light honey in the first impression. It also has a bit of a light flowery note in support.
Taste: The honey is more pronounce in the flavor than in the aroma. It has strong bready malt with some light cracker. There is light herbs in the background.
Feel: It has a light body and is easy drinking from start to finish.
Overall, a flavorful Kolsch style ale. It may bit a bit strong in the honey elements, but that enhances with flavor, especially the malt.

A: Pours a relatively clear pale to medium golden yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and faint pale yellow + bright yellow + brassy colored highlights. The beer has a finger tall fizzy soapy foamy white head that quickly reduces to a medium to large sized patch of slightly mottled very thin film and a very thin ring at the edges of the glass. Minimal amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of cracker + bready malts with a light amount of light fruit (apple + green grape) sweetness underneath light to moderate aromas of floral + earthy + spicy hops.
T: Upfront there are light to moderate cracker + bready malts with a light amount of light fruit (apple + green grape) sweetness. That is followed by light flavors of floral + earthy + spicy hops which imparts a very light amount of bitterness which slowly fades away.
M: Slightly heavier than light bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp with a hint of dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol. Light and refreshing. Enjoyable.
