We took Shape Shifter coffee beans from our friends at Krankies coffee, and brought them back to the brewhouse to transform a delicate blonde ale. A silky smooth base of malt offers the perfect platform for the transfigured additions, allowing the intense aromatics to shine through.

16oz can from Tavour. Medium golden, clear, small fizzy head. Gentle coffee aroma. More subtle coffee in the taste along with strong grainy, malty base. Smooth, slick. Really nice.

Clear, amber colored body; massive presence of slowly rising carbonation; thick, creamy white head. Very pleasant nose of caramel and toffee; barely perceptible presence of light coffee. The taste follows along the lines of the smell; slight to moderate sweetness; light note of toasted nuts; very little bitterness. Medium mouthfeel; moderate residual sugar presence; semi-sweet offset with a dull dryness.
This is a rock solid pale ale, pleasantly sweet and not too bitter with subtle pull of coffee notes in the background.

I had high hopes for this one, but there was no aroma to begin with that I could detect. Great copper color...poured from a 16 oz can...minimal head that dissipated quickly. The coffee flavor was minimal, as was a subtle vanilla. Smooth and slightly sweet...not bad, but not worth the hype either.
