Another selection from the 2022 dipa festival. 14 months later, here I am writing the first review for this beer on this Untappd owned subsidiary website. Lulzumon sounds like knock off leggings.
Pours a copper color. 1/3" off white head. The aroma doesn't punch through anywhere near what the commercial tug job speaks of. There is more caramel than citrus. Couldn't tell there were Mosaic hops in here.
The taste again imparted mostly citrus and caramel. There was a bitterness to it that hit the familiar pine and citric rind stuff. It has a viscosity and booziness to it that I would prefer to be lesser. Its hefty in just about every regard except for dry hopping.
Everyone but me seems to think this is a really good beer. I'll definitely give it another chance, it just might not have jived with the beer I had before it. Cool name, but it didn't speak to me on February 12, 2022. A lot of people called it prison, when I was growin' up, but these are my roots and this is what I love.
