A Hop Driven Beer, Needle Nose is our interpretation of a West Coast Imperial Cold IPA. Premium 2-row and a touch of rice combined with clean fermenting lager yeast provide a light base for the hops to shine. 100% New Zealand Nectaron hops are used throughout the boil and subsequent double dry-hop, providing aromas of fresh pineapple, stone fruit and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, flavors of peachy creamsicle and citrus are balanced by easy bitterness.

I just added this beer to this Next Glass owned database. I am also going to write a review for it because I prefer doing that versus having someone hit me up on the street for loose change.
Pours a golden color with ample clarity into a 2003 Dwyane Wade Marquette pint glass (Final Four year). Makes like 2/5" white head. The aroma has a stone and tropical fruit nose of average intensity.
The taste is interesting, I dig the input of a "touch of rice" here as this is a really light bodied double ipa in a complimentary way. It allows those Nectaron hops to shine, and this was one of my first experiences with that hop (this beer was consumed over a year ago). Lager yeast is clean and out of the way essentially. Its a good showcase for a new hop but without going into the usual session SMASH kind of beers, here you still get that 8% buzz if you need it. I usually do. New Zealand hops usually have that dank factor, but these were pretty clean.
