Enjoyed from the source in a snifter via the growler. This FINE stout pours
a rich opaque with brown highlights and a fantastic head of light brown foam that
settles to a thin beaded thick ring, nice thin layer, and features some excellent lacing.
Nose of rich coffee, deep roasted malts, subtle chocolate, and subtle cream. Flavors exceed
the nose with rich dark roasted coffee awash in dark chocolate and touched by cream (lactose)
without the souring effect often associated with such ingredient. Light herbal hops makes themselves
subtly known on the rear of the taste but are overtaken by the vastness of the coffee and dark roasted
malts touched by light char. Excellent mouth feel---it is almost as smooth as a nitro without the gas
with a full body and medium light carbonation and a roasted char touched coffee finish.
Overall this is one fine brew and worthy of more reviews.
Cheers
