From a growler via Jungle Jim's Eastgate in a snifter. This unique IPA pours a
hazy dark peach color with a modest head of white foam that settles fast to
a thin ring and little lacing. Nose of white wine, citrus notes of lemon and
orange zest, light pine notes, subtle peach notes, and a sweet honey
heavy malt background mingling with mango and grape must. Flavors
nail it on the nose with mild white wine notes awash in peach, orange zest,
lemon zest, light grassy hop notes, and mild pine that are balanced and warmed
by heavy honey malts and warming booze. Excellent mouth feel; low carbonation,
warming, inviting, crush-able, medium body, and a lightly dry citrus and honey
malt finish.
I am no fan of most IPA's, but even the little lady liked this one and and I can see
why---it is big, beefy, and down right dangerous.
Excellent!
Cheers
