Raspberry lemon wedding cake milkshake IPA (yes - you read that correctly) brewed with Citra and Lemondrop hops. The brewer brought this out of retirement and made it again. Poured from a can into a Mash Cult pub glass. The pour is slightly hazy and an attractive dark reddish-purple color with about a finger of pink foam. Average retention. On the nose I get some grapefruit and faint raspberry notes.
Medium body with a firm feel. Up front you get a little milky sweetness that is immediately joined by the tart flavors of the berries. I get fairly strong raspberry notes mixed well with lemon and hops. It has a nice and refreshing combination of bitter, fruity, and milky sweet. Finishes dry with lingering flavors of raspberries and lemon. The beer reminds me a lot of a beer from Listermann called ``Mama Needs a Milkshake'', only this beer is more fruit-forward, slightly less hoppy, and I think I like this one better.
