Berlinerweisse with mango, pink guava, blood orange, pineapple, and apricot. Collaboration beer with the Cincinnati Beer Club. Poured from a can into a Streetside pub glass. The pour is straw-colored, slightly hazy, and sports about a finger of white foam with average retention for a sour beer. The nose is a little funky, but even the funkiest funk can't hide that much fruit. I still get notes of mango, guava, and pineapple.
Light body with a delicate feel and a tart, fruity flavor. The beer starts out with a sharp sour flavor that is mingling with a faint grainy sweetness, then the fruit kicks in and you are met with a rush of orange, mango, guava, and pineapple. As the fruit tempers down, the graininess starts to come back just a bit on the back end, but the finish is still predominantly dry: tart and fruity with lingering citrusy notes. Overall a very light, pleasant summer sipper. Not too sour or too sweet. Just citrusy and refreshingly tart.
