Picked up a tall boy single at Belmont Party Supply in Dayton last week while visiting my college buddy. Caramel and medium brown malts in the nose. A little dark fruit and brown sugar as it warms. Sweet but a little balanced. Big beige head with tight bubbles. Definitely a sipper.

This comes through with the dark malt and roasted flavors you are looking for while providing enough balance to make this pretty faithful to the style. Nice aftertaste that lasts and a generally smooth texture make this an above average example of this kind of ignored class of beers (at least in this country).
