17 months ago our good buddies from Whiskey Hill made the trek from the Great White North (Westmont, IL) to make a big ol pastry stout. While this beer isn't fraudulent, the bar tabs we rack up with them certainly are. Enjoy this New Riff barrel aged pastry stout from the thickest bois in the biz.

The third offering to hit my face from Streetside, like the others contained in a 16 oz. can. The other two were excellent. Expectations are moderately high.
The pour is lacy black with a quick-collapse head. Sniffer checks in: predominantly barrel & coconut, with a mild drip of chocolate.
Fraudulent Activity – Bourbon Barrel Aged is another booze bomb. Big chocolate hit mixed in with delicious bourbon & shouting booziness. I’d buy that candy bar. Mid-palate brings the coconut, deep sweetness, faint hazels & vanilla. Finishes with a cavalry charge of alcohol. The can ain’t kidding; this is a pastry stout from the get-go. Big, brawny, thick. I can take sixteen ounces of this brute, but no more.
Great barrel that doesn’t overwhelm the more delicate elements (except the hazelnuts, mostly) & maintains some semblance of balance. Very good beer bordering on excellent.
