Our friends at 450 North Brewing helped us brew our a big ol' Banana Foster Pastry Stout we called Laissez Le Bon Temps Rouler (Let the Good Times Roll) a celebration of Mardi Gras (the theme for this year's Corn Maze Festival at 450) and all the good times we've had at Streetside. Copious banana, vanilla, and brown sugar highlight tribute to decadance and delight as any Mardi Gras celebration should.

From the 16 oz can in a snifter via Bluejacket74! Cheers Dude!
This unique imperial pours a THICK blackish brown oil slick with
a modest had of tan foam that fizzles to nothing. Nose of banana,
cinnamon, cream, dark chocolate, and vanilla. Flavors follow the
nose with vanilla cream, subtle char, deep roasted malts, dark
chocolate, banana, and zippy cinnamon. Mouthfeel is full, smooth,
coating, moderately warming, and faint carbonation with a bitter malt
finish that is sweet without being overly cloying.

Overall, a stunner that just needs some better mouth feel
rather than like drinking chocolate syrup. Other than that
the flavor profile is excellent.

Cheers

16 ounce can, looks like the canning date is 9/23/24. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with maybe a half inch tan head that stuck around a little while. Not much lacing at all. I like the aroma, the brew smells like vanilla, cinnamon, roasted malt, bananas and some chocolate. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's the addition of some brown sugar and dark bready flavors. All the flavors seem well balanced with no one flavor overpowering the others. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's a bit coating and rich with a low/moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good overall pastry stout, worth a try if you get the chance!
