Pours mahogany brown and settles black in the glass with a sudsy mocha colored head that dissipates quickly.
The nose has a whiff of pecan, some booze, and lots of rich milk chocolate and a bit of graham cracker as well.
The barrel is more present on the taste, especially at the back of the palate with a significant alcohol warming, but this is all about the pastry stout sweetness, with loads of milk chocolate and graham cracker, and a smidge of dark cherry. Delicious stuff.
The mouthfeel is rich and edges toward creamy. If BA pastry stouts are your thing, this is a really good one.

The combination of pecans with the rye barrel tastes really good.
