Copenhagen 21/9 2019. 33 cl bottle from Lidl, Lygten, Kbh. NV. Label designed according to the Italian flag which goes in good accordance with the National minded name of the beer.

Pours clear amber with a small white head. Settles as thin, patchy layer of flimsy foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing to speak of.

Aroma is fresh, citric and with a fairly strong malty sweetness. Caramel and sweet bread. Citrus fruit and lime.

Strong carbonation. Thin, watery and quite lively texture.

Flavor is medium sweet followed by a slightly more moderate citric bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a light bitter undercurrent. Lingers shortly.

Slightly too sweet take on a IPA but certainly ok for what I suspect is a made for LIDL beer.

I enjoyed this beer in Rome. Poured from an 11.2 oz. bottle. Has a bronze color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of malts, light caramel. Taste is caramel malts, a bit of hops are present. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a pretty good beer.

330ml bottle, poured into La Chouffe tulip.

A: Amber, clear, large foamy head which made a quick getaway, not too much lacing.

S: Roasted malt, caramel.

T: Basically followed the nose. Slightly bitter finish.

M: Medium to heavy body, low carbonation, thickish texture for the relatively low abv.

O: More of a red ale/winter märzen than an IPA.

Goes more the English ESB route than the American IPA one.
I think this is pretty solid stuff and available for a great price at LIDL.
