i dont know how long its been since i had a new one from these guys, but it feels like forever. this might be a fruited version of a beer they already make, citrus spiked, clementine or tangerine or something, some elements to like but i wish it were better refined, its a refreshing bouquet but the beer is heavy and sits a little long on the palate, bitter and sweet at the same time, not an easy drinking summer beer even though the flavors lean that way. hazy rusty orange toned and with a good inch of white head from the tap. the nose is whole clementines to me, peel and all, oily and spritzy and zesty, and i dont mind the bitterness at all, but its also malty, not that fresh, and oddly yeasty. the flavor is similar, love how fruit forward it is, it hits really honest, juicy, and i like the little bit of acidity in play from it. a bit of oxidation to a richer malt base isnt flattering, and there is a strange minerality, almost metallic as it warms. light cardboard, fruity hops that are nice with the citrus, lingering bitterness at the end, a little plastic thing, bread crusts, old world yeast perhaps. interesting offering, should probably be better than it is from a quality standpoint, but the recipe is a good one and the fruit aspect of this really hits. good to see some innovation from these guys!

Draft at Mad Sweede-Cole. Golden pour, light cloudiness, small foamy white head. Aroma is tangerines and orange soda. Taste mirrors the nose, sweet, tangerines and orange soda. Easy drinker.
