A: deep amber liquid with good carbonation and minimal white head.
S: Extreme aroma of blueberries and strawberries. Might as well be an ice-cream berry smoothie.
T: Unfortunately not like the aroma. I guess phoenix hops take center stage here with chocolate, pine, molasses, grapefruit rind and lavender flavours.
M: Medium-thin mouthfeel with resiny character.
O: The phoenix hop addition was a little out of place in this beer, but I am glad I tried it. I actually think phoenix would be fantastic with El Dorado in something a bit more malty.
