Very Dark, and malty. Tastes bitter similar to dark chocolate. Not very carbonated, but that's to be expected with a stout. The overall feel wasn't like a stout. The packaging sure is fun though with the hollographic rainbow clover label.

Strathcona Brewing 'Clover All Over' @ 5.0% , served from a 4pack of 473 ml cans purchased for $12
A-pour is a dark cola brown from the can to a near black in the glass with a med tan head leaving a spotty lace along the pint
S-roasted malts
T-roasted almost burnt chocolate & smoke , metallic
MF-ok carbonation , medium body , burnt aftertaste lingers ,
Ov-seriously bad beer , 2 drain pours out of a 4pack

I had to review this foul concoction; absolutely the weirdest tasting "stout" I have ever tasted and absolutely no relationship to anything authentically "Irish". First time in two decades that I have drained two cans of a four-pack down the toilet after enduring the first and confirming the impression on the second can. The foretaste is a weirdly astringent "perfumed" kick that is followed by a metallic after-burn. Don't be deceived by the "look", "feel" or even "smell" .. the entire unfortunate story is in the "taste". I am curious to learn why and how an upcoming brewery would/could jeopardize its entire commercial being by manufacturing this nonsense????

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
