Single 16 ounce can from Liquor Warehouse in Vernon BC - no canning date found.
Pours a bright clear golden amber with two fingers of tight bubbly white head.
Aroma on the head of citrus - grapefruit, a bit of grapefruit peel; notes of caramel malt - this is followed by a distinct floral and herbal smell with a bit of onion and garlic; a touch weedy and grassy.
Soft caramel malt sweetness on the palate but this washes away with grapefruit peel, grassy and herbal and resinous bitterness that builds pulling you back for another sip.
Medium mouthfeel with moderate carbonation with a dry and crisp finish and lingering bitterness.

I rarely can’t finish a beer. I had to pour these down the drain. Bought a 4-pack from the cooler section in the Liquor Store. I opened 2 cans 2 weeks apart and both were having completely off taste. It reminded me of the smell of a wet dishwashing cloth that has bacteria overgrowth and smells nasty. I’m not sure if the beer is supposed to taste like this or if it was due to the poor storage on the distributor side. Either way, it sucks to have to pour 4 tall cans to the sewer.

This is a Pale Ale has a base of pilsner and caramel malts, hopped with Mosaic, Simcoe and Amarillo Hops.
A very nice hoppy bitter finish Pale ale.
March 21/2024 just bought a few cans, just as good as the 2020 batch.
