This was another beer that I traded for a while ago, although it didn't have anything written on the bottom of the can. First beer from Dancing Gnome that I've had and yes, it's a good one as it poured nicely and was quite easy to enjoy from start to finish!
Murky and muddled, the hue was golden with plenty of head to top it off. Unlike that, the lacing was sparse as only a few hints of rings could be seen along the back side of my pint glass. Tropical fruits, dank rind, spelt, and grass filled the nose as the taste was even more dank. Celery and crabgrass came through in the taste as this felt a bit like a Wild Ale. Lots of deep vegetable, a lively carbonation, and underlying cracker keep this beer earthy, lively, and full as it was able to touch all of the bases briefly, and sufficiently.
The amount of alcohol in this wasn't terribly heavy and it only added a mild warming sensation to everything else that was going on here. This might be too pungent for some but for someone who appreciates all varieties and facets of this style, this outdoorsy take on an American IPA had enough going for it. My only wish for this is what I always say - date your cans!

Opaque pale tan with a minimal bubbly film.
This is crackery and peppery with accents of celery, close to Nelson-like but not quite. Lightly dank with a dry finish, the light body has a soft froth that dries out to a vegetal and peanut sort of malt.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a tulip glass.
Pours an opaque orange color with a finger of bright white head. The head leaves some random spots of lacing before eventually settling into a thin sheet.
The aroma is pungent and earthy af. Tons of grass and pine, as well as some citrus, namely orange and grapefruit.
The flavor follows the nose: Lots of grass, pine and citrus. There's also some nuttiness on the finish which is a bit odd and it lingers for a while. Not the most pleasant flavor.
The feel is light bodied with soft carbonation. Watery and slick.
Overall, a pretty mediocre IPA that has odd flavors and an overly thin mouthfeel. Definitely pass on this one.

Tap
Pours cloudy lemon gold, white head retains as a film.
Smells of bready malts and light grassy hops.
Flavor is of grassy malts, cracker, citrus zest, and herbal and grassy hops. Herbal aftertaste like lemongrass and tarragon.
Light body with tingly carbonation on the roof of the mouth.
Nice lighter IPA on the herbal side. Stands out in this regard. Decent and worth a try.

the challenge I had with this one was the aftertaste. It lingered longer than expected and was a bit metallic. Otherwise, the experience was solid. good nose, look and mouth feel.
